Where it all started

Born in Nuneaton, Warwickshire in 1965, Eden began his early years growing up in a rough area of the town. His passion for writing was realised at the age of 10, where he wrote his first book that won the school competition. The prize was to have the book professionally printed and displayed in the school library. Sadly no copies exist of this work, which was the most borrowed book for half a year.

His later school career focused primarily on gaining half decent qualifications to get into college onto one of the new IT courses that had begin to spring up. Eden is still one of the first people to gain a recognised IT qualification in the town.

It wasn't until much later in life that his writing career began to come back into view. After 20 years in IT, he now designs complex IT infrastructures for global corporations and as a result needs to write high-quality documentation that describes these systems in the simplest terms. It was way back in 2000 that the ideas for Belinda Nuggett began to take shape.

However, the road to publication is long. It took over 7 years to get the book into a condition that would be fit for submission to agents. In early 2007, the first draft (although version 47) of Belinda Nuggett: The Magic Begins was sent round agents. One agency (The Inspira Group) made some very valuable comments which saw the book totally re-written.

In about March 2007, Eden submitted the manuscript to the Leo Media and Entertainment Group. It took a while, but they returned the query with a suggestion that while a book deal wasn't possible, a movie deal would be and would it be possible to re-write the book as a screenplay. More reading, courses, and a total re-write later, the screenplay was ready.

Eden's main philosophy is that you can make time to write. This means by being very dedicated, organised, and can take critisism, he can turn out Hollywood-ready film scripts in a very quick time.
